Among the many remarkable features of this building, which dates back to 1603<\/strong>, one recently rediscovered detail is now attracting a great deal of attention: a carved raven<\/strong> depicting the Steuernagel coat of arms.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Long concealed beneath a thick layer of ivy, this ancient raven<\/strong> on the left-hand side of the fa\u00e7ade remained hidden for many years. It was not until March that it was brought to light, revealing the full richness of its decoration and its historical significance.<\/p>

This rediscovery highlights a forgotten element of architectural heritage<\/strong>, bearing witness to the building\u2019s prestigious past.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Steuernagel family coat of arms<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This corbel bears the coat of arms of the Steuernagel family<\/strong>, on whose behalf Georges Steuernagel, the mayor, had this building constructed in 1603<\/strong>. This heraldic symbol is not unique: it was also affixed to the corbel of another house built around the same time, beyond the city walls.<\/p>

The same coat of arms can also be found in the courtyard of 32A<\/strong>, further evidence of the influence and mark left by this family on local history.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
