A preserved past, a controlled rebirth

A 17th-century legacy revisited

Imagine a stunning historic building, built in 1603 for Mayor Georges Steuernagel. You will find this date inscribed on two corbels and a door, silent witnesses to centuries gone by. Having served as a chancellery from 1677 to 1752, this building has stood the test of time. Unoccupied for many years, it was completely renovated in 2010 using high-quality materials to become the Hotel Écrevisse, a three-star hotel. Today, three friends have invested in this building, preserving its original qualities and characteristics while breathing new life into it.
