Between nature and heritage

Whether you are passionate about cycling, enjoy beautiful hikes or are curious about cultural discoveries, Northern Alsace has a thousand treasures to offer you from our establishment. Between its unspoilt forests, rolling hills and picturesque villages, every walk is an invitation to escape.

Nature lovers will enjoy walking and cycling routes in the heart of the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park, classified as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. History and heritage enthusiasts can explore medieval castles, unusual museums and charming towns with a rich past, not to mention the gourmet specialities to be savoured along the way.

Transport Conservatory Museum

In Wissembourg, just a few minutes from our establishment, the Musée Conservatoire des Transports invites young and old alike on a journey back in time. Run by the Autocars Anciens de France association, this unique venue houses more than 180 vintage vehicles: vintage coaches and buses, lorries, cars and even agricultural machinery, all lovingly restored.

Housed in the Espace Euromobile, on the outskirts of the charming medieval town, this exceptional collection traces the evolution of transport throughout the 20th century and brings to life the atmosphere of grand departures on long journeys. An original and exotic visit, ideal for history buffs and curious minds in search of discovery.

Hiking - the Chemin des Cimes

Among the many trails available, just a few kilometres from Wissembourg, the Chemin des Cimes Alsace takes you to the heart of the Northern Vosges forest for a unique walk in the heights.

This wooden trail, accessible to all, winds its way for over a kilometre through the trees and leads to a 29-metre-high panoramic tower, offering breathtaking views of the Rhine plain, the Black Forest and, on a clear day, as far as Strasbourg. Fun and educational, the trail also features a giant slide for an unforgettable descent.

Hot air balloon ride

Treat yourself to an exceptional experience above northern Alsace with Alsace Verte Montgolfières. Take off from Soultz-sous-Forêts or Schoenenbourg aboard a hot air balloon that can carry up to three people plus the pilot, and let the wind carry you away.

Suspend time above the forests of the Northern Vosges Natural Park, picturesque villages, the Maginot Line or the Cleebourg vineyards, with a 360° view. It’s a moment of wonder and freedom that naturally invites itself into your stay.

The Cleebourg wine cellar

In the heart of the northernmost vineyard on the Alsace Wine Route, the Cave de Cleebourg has been bringing together passionate winegrowers since 1946, who cultivate 200 hectares of hillsides within the Northern Vosges Natural Park.

Here you can discover a wide range of Alsace wines and crémants, made from iconic grape varieties and produced with respect for the environment. The cellar welcomes visitors for friendly tastings and regularly offers guided tours to immerse yourself in the world of this unique terroir.

Visit to the Maginot Line

A few kilometres from Wissembourg, immerse yourself in history at Fort Schoenenbourg, one of the major structures of the Maginot Line in Alsace. Digging 30 metres underground, you can explore nearly 3 kilometres of galleries, where you’ll find underground kitchens, barracks, an infirmary, a power plant, turrets and combat blocks, all striking reminders of military life in days gone by.

Built to accommodate up to 630 soldiers, the site, now listed as a Historic Monument, offers a striking immersion into this defensive construction. The visit takes place in the constant coolness of the underground, on a marked circuit lasting around two hours.
